The CCGs in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Luton are working together with East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EAST), to provide priority and non-priority patient transport to hospital appointments.
We are keen to remind patients and GPs of the call centre number that EAST has established:

The line is open Monday – Sunday 08:00 – 18:00

Patients who can make their own way to their appointments are asked to do that if they can.
Patients should not be advised to book their own taxis. The CCGs will not be reimbursing taxi fares incurred for journeys which take place after 4th October 2017.
