What is a Nursing Associate?
A nursing associate is a member of the nursing team in England that helps bridge the gap between health and care assistants and registered nurses. They are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. We are fortunate to be able to train our own Nursing Associates in-house too so they are fully integrated with each practice and understand our population’s needs.
What do we do?
Nursing associates work with people of all ages, in a variety of settings in health and social care. They contribute to the core work of nursing, freeing up the practice nurses to focus on more complex clinical care and providing additional access at your surgery. You may meet our Nursing Associates for vaccinations, health checks, dressings and routine tests such as blood pressure, blood tests and ECGs.
Who are we?
Your Nursing Associate team are Victoria Lawrence and Rebecca Scott (Trainee) and are supervised by PCN Senior Nurse Leann Parish. They will be in place at each surgery in the Network across the week.
